Weekend Fishing Report
Friday 27th August
The guys had up to 40’s a man snoek on Friday at the Groen Dam.
Saturday 28th August
The Snoek Competition Was held on Saturday from the False Bay Yatch Club,
this was a great social comp, unfortunately the morning weather didn’t play
along but as the day progressed the weather turned to be lovely and calm one
at about 10:30AM, the snoek also played along as the day progressed, all the
Comp Boats sat in Buffles…… on anchor (if the anchor held) and caught a good
couple of snoek. I also fished the comp, and from about 10:30 onwards the
fish was biting really well, our Bait lines were between 10-12 fathoms.
(quite high up) And if you worked a Spinner or a Lead line fish was biting
on the Lead as well.
We had a lovely Prize Giving just before the Rugby, For the Biggest Snoek
caught by Lady, Male, and Junior.
(no entrance fee was needed for the comp)
Top Male: Jeff White
2nd Male: Ashley Stokes
Top Lady: Nina Daniels (ME)
2nd Lady: Emmie Derosh
Top Junior: Jaqui Swindale
